  • Take everyone out to a Copperheads baseball game

  • Go for a family bike ride

    Start with the Adena Hockhocking Trail or take it off-road at Stroud’s Run.

  • Pack a picnic lunch

    Bring it to Lake Snowden, Dow Lake, or one of these spots in Athens County.

    Walk, run, stroll, or roll your way through a 5K to support the Ohio Valley Museum of Discovery. Part of the Athens Fabulous Fourth Celebration. Register today!

    Parades and Flags and Fireworks, oh my! Plus, the science of fireworks.

  • Download some family-friendly podcasts

    Especially great for those long car rides to your summer destination. Lots of good recommendations at kidslisten.org

  • Build a solar oven

    Cook up some s'mores!

  • Make a bug keeper

    Catch, examine, and release insects! Re-use an oatmeal container, screen, and tape, or try out this design.

  • Play a round (or two or three) of mini golf

    Support Havar and have fun at Putt People First.
