Discovery Lab Workshops

Discovery Lab workshops at the museum typically focus on middle and high school-aged participants and cover a wide range of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) topics with an emphasis on hands-on exploration.

Coming up on November 15th -

Introduction to 3D Printing

Join Nick Conroy and Mark Lucas as we explore 3D printing! In this introduction, you'll work through the printing process from initial design through a quick print. The workshop, for participants 5th grade through Adult, will be Saturday, November 15th, from 9:30 am-11:30 am at the Ohio Valley Museum of Discovery in our OhioHealth Community Classroom. 

The workshop fee is $20. Registration is required, and the workshop will be capped at 15 participants. Click below to sign up.

Discovery Lab - Makerspace

Join us Saturday, November 1, for Discovery Lab Makerspace from 10 AM-12 noon! The featured build will be hydraulics! We’ll have plans for ”Judo bots,” a hydraulic crane, or a hydraulic claw in addition to the various cars from last time! Pick a project and explore!
Focused on teens and tweens, younger museum visitors (2nd-4th grade) can also participate with an adult (for safety reasons). Available for any paid museum visitor or museum member.
This is an open format, so you can show up any time between 10 AM and noon to work on a project.
